Cravings in Vero Beach, FL

We’d like to introduce you to Cravings on Ocean Drive in Vero Beach, Florida - one of Bassetts Ice Cream’s longest standing customers.

Started in Harbor Springs, Michigan in 1983 by Mary Sue Walker and her husband Marty, Cravings opened their Vero Beach location in 1984 when the town still had dirt roads. In addition to a full selection of Bassetts Ice Cream, Cravings offers coffee drinks, breakfast, sandwiches, light meals, house-made baked goods and delicious granola - including gluten-free and vegan options. Many items are also available by mail order.

One reason for their longevity, in addition to offering the finest quality products, is their commitment to the Vero Beach community. Many local youngsters got their first jobs at Cravings. Their commitment to the community was paid back in spades when Hurricanes Francis and Jeanne badly damaged the property in 2004, and much of the town pitched in to help repair it.

Fun fact – Cravings sells their ice cream by weight.

Here is a link to a fun video Cravings created as they approach their 40th anniversary.

Thank you for being such a great partner, Cravings!

It’s always great to see local businesses that become part of a community’s family traditions over the years. A long-standing customer relationship like this shows how meaningful familiar places can become. For families planning to relocate, travel, or handle official matters abroad, keeping family records organized is just as important. Family Registration Certificate Attestation In Pakistan can be useful when family documents need to be prepared for official international use.

From its beginnings in Harbor Springs in 1983 to opening in Vero Beach when the area still had dirt roads, it’s impressive how the business has adapted while maintaining its focus on quality food and ice cream. The variety of offerings, including vegan and gluten-free options, makes it appealing to many different customers. Reading about places with such history reminds me of the lasting appeal of simple fun, much like Basket Random, where people keep coming back because the experience never gets old.

Wow, Cravings sounds amazing, especially that history about Vero Beach having dirt roads! Makes me think of how much things change. Speaking of things dissolving, has anyone tried that game, Sand Crush ? It's surprisingly addictive to watch those blocks turn to grains.
